Triptan cluster headache treatment 'can cause nausea and dizziness'

Those who suffer cluster headaches may want to invest in pure oxygen to help relieve their pain, as other remedies can have unpleasant side effects.
Dr Miriam Stoppard, writing in the Daily Mirror, says the recent study conducted by doctors at London's National Hospital for Neurology ad Neurosurgery, which showed how pure oxygen can be beneficial to sufferers, should lead to it becoming more popular.
She claims that triptan medication can have side effects such as nausea and dizziness, which could encourage people to invest in home oxygen equipment to reduce the pain of cluster headaches.
"This first robust study proving oxygen's effectiveness should become more widely available and offer a drug-free alternative to triptan pain relief medication, commonly used in headache treatment," Dr Stoppard states.
Medical News Today recently extolled the virtues of breathing pure oxygen to help battle cluster headaches, saying that pain can be eased significantly after 15 minutes or so.
