Tips for regulating oxygen supply to alleviate stress

Oxygen therapy can be highly beneficial for people suffering from stress and anxiety as it helps to regulate their breathing.

It can also be complemented by other forms of stress relief, such as meditation, which helps sufferers to reduce anxiety for a better night of rest.

Director at the LondonMeditationCentre.com, Jillian Lavender, said: "In just a few minutes of meditating, oxygen metabolism drops to a level that is many times deeper than the deepest point in a night's sleep."

According to the expert, this allows for the release of "deep rooted stress and fatigue" so sufferers wake feeling revitalised and less stressed.

Benefits of overcoming stress and tiredness include improved decision-making skills and better immunity.

"Overall health improves because we no longer have stress chemistry coursing through our system," Ms Lavender explained.

Using oxygen therapy to alleviate stress, as well as employing breathing techniques, leads to a slowing down of the aging process too so it is a condition worth targeting.
