Soldiers to use oxygen generators?

Oxygen equipment may become a more popular tool among soldiers as it has been revealed the product is being utilised by the Chinese army.

Troops based in barracks in Tibet are being treated for high-altitude sickness through the use of oxygen generators, the Times of India reports.

The source noted the men have only 48 per cent of oxygen in the region that stands at 4,500 metres above sea level and many have been afflicted by physical and mental health problems as a result.

It added the machinery has been put to use in an oxygen-enriched activity room that has a floor space of 1,000 sq metres and allows soldiers to train with increased oxygen content in their blood of nearly ten per cent.

The Napa Valley Register recently revealed older American football players in the US have been using oxygen equipment to help them maintain energy levels during games.
