Simon Cowell 'uses portable oxygen'

Music mogul and X Factor judge Simon Cowell is using portable oxygen to look and feel better, a source has said.

Speaking to the Sun, the insider revealed the celebrity was turned on to the product by friends in Los Angeles and is now takes it with him everywhere he goes.

"He says it helps him relax and keep the stress at bay," the source explained, adding the 52-year-old is also hoping the canned oxygen could help keep him looking young.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported Cowell has been sharing the product around at the Britain's Got Talent studio.

"Ant and Dec and the other judges were trying it," an insider told the newspaper. "They all seemed to like it ... It's not much bigger than a can of Pepsi and you can just breathe from it."

Portable oxygen is often used to help cope with stress and tiredness, but its energising effects are also useful for athletes.

Some of the sportspeople known to use the product include superbike racer Simon Andrews, triathlete Daniel Sims, Northampton Saints player Alex Waller and the Southend United football team.
