Scottish online facility to become oxygen therapy resource

An online facility in Scotland is to become a global resource on oxygen therapy when it is launched.
The Directors at Castle Craig, one of Europe's leading rehab clinics, are to construct a website for the Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment Trust (HBOTT) so it can spread the word about the benefits of using oxygen therapy.
Castle Craig Hospital chairman Peter McCann said that oxygen therapy can be an effective way to alleviate the pain experienced by cancer sufferers or those recovering from sports injuries and claimed the facility will help to raise awareness of this.
"The HBOTT is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to become a definitive online resource on [oxygen treatment] for the public and medical professionals and we seek to promote further research into the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy," he said.
According to the Long-term Home Oxygen Therapy study by Dr David Flenley, published in the CHEST journal, oxygen therapy can also play a significant role in prolonging the life of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder sufferers.
