Salon owner offers customers oxygen therapy
A tanning salon in Chico, California offers its customers something a little different to other establishments - pure oxygen.
The California Sun Tanning Salon now includes the Oasis Oxygen Bar, where students and others can go to relax and get over their hangovers by inhaling oxygen-enriched air, The Orion reported.
Lori Greitzer, owner and manager of the outlet, told the newspaper that pure oxygen can do wonders for people's physical and mental wellbeing and many in the area have realised this.
"I wanted to do something that would contribute to students' wellbeing. And Chico doesn't have an oxygen bar … I just want to offer something fun to do the day after everyone goes out," she added.
Dr Paul Stillman, a member of the Expert Group on Hydration, told the Independent that taking few breaths from an oxygen canister is one of the best cures for hangovers and can help people function better.
