Portable oxygen wise for kids in polluted London?

Families in London may want to invest in portable oxygen, as experts have warned their children's lung health could be damaged by air pollution.
The Islington Tribune reported on the latest Air Quality Summit at the local Town Hall, at which it was argued the effect on kids' respiratory systems from particles they breathe presents a significant cost to the NHS.
"Children are probably a lot more susceptible. They are active and so breathing in more air. Their lungs are a larger component of their body and their lungs are underdeveloped," director of the Environmental Research Group at King's College London Professor Frank Kelly was quoted by the news provider as explaining.
The expert said as many as 4,300 people die early because of air pollution in London, while studies have shown youngsters who grow up by busy roads have smaller lungs.
Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn with Darwen's director of public health Dominic Harrison recently blamed environmental problems for a larger occurrence of asthma in the area than other regions.
