Portable oxygen units 'last longer and aid mobility'

Individuals who use oxygen therapy would benefit from using portable oxygen units when they leave the house, as these are both convenient and last longer than larger examples.
Patricia Mazzei, writing for the Miami Herald, highlights the case of one man, Jim, who requires oxygen therapy after developing bladder cancer which later spread to his lungs.
His wife, Carol, carries two oxygen tanks with her whenever the couple leave the house, as Jim need to wear a nasal oxygen tube at all times.
While these are essential to his quality of life, Ms Mazzei points out that there are now more convenient options available which could make both of their lives easier.
"A newer, lighter portable oxygen unit - the type a person can carry around like a purse - would last longer and give the couple more mobility," she claims.
The convenience of these oxygen therapy canisters was recently highlighted by Nepalese politicians, who used them while holding a cabinet meeting on Mount Everest to draw attention to the effects of climate change on our planet.
