Portable oxygen to treat the many factors of sleep apnoea?

Parents who find their children are displaying signs of obstructive problems may want to buy oxygen to help treat the disorders.

According to Dr Joseph Broujerdi, there are many ways to tell whether a youngster may be suffering from sleep apnoea, abclocal.go.com reports.

The medical expert noted: "A combination of large tonsils and adenoids, unusual behaviour, bedwetting, not being able to sleep properly, restlessness, hyperactivity disorders - the combination of these symptoms point to having obstructive problems."

Kids who may be susceptible to the ailment includes those who suffer from nasal obstruction, which is one of the main causes.

However, other factors, such as dental, jaw and congenital birth deformity, as well as childhood obesity, can also have a bearing on whether a young person develops sleep apnoea.

Dylan William, deputy director of the Institute of Education, recently suggested schoolchildren may be more alert in the classroom if they get oxygen pumping around their body early in the day.
