Portable oxygen to offer health benefits for poor sleepers?

People who have trouble sleeping may want to buy oxygen in an attempt to help them gain some decent shut-eye.

And they may want to act fast as One Face in a Million reports studies have shown episodes of interrupted breathing during a person's snooze time can double the risk of death for men in their 40s and 50s.

The source noted even males who only suffer from moderate sleep apnoea are around 45 per cent more likely to pass away than those who have no trouble maintaining suitable resting patterns.

It noted the symptoms for the disorder are characterised by snoring and added: "As many as one in four men is believed to suffer from severe snoring problems, which … can affect a person's life span in the long term."

In a recent article for the Great Falls Tribune, Dan Gold said most individuals who use oxygen equipment to help improve their sleep enjoy an almost immediate improvement in their overall quality of life.
