Drivers may want to buy oxygen after they were told to avoid fatigue when behind the wheel.
According to Community CPS Australia, individuals need to take responsibility for their alertness when they are going on journeys.
"Fatigue affects your decision making and ability to control a vehicle so take regular breaks while driving and be aware of the symptoms," it added.
For those who regularly travel long distances, they could consider bringing portable oxygen with them
Breathing in oxygen enriched air may help to stay alert and prevent accidents from happening.
Other measures that can be implemented to ensure motorists do not get into trouble on the roads are trying to go out at night as much as possible and make sure to get a good night's sleep before setting off on any long-haul distances.
Adrian Walsh, director of RoadSafe, recently noted people have a "legal and moral requirement" to be responsible when in their cars.
