Portable oxygen to help Simon Andrews recreate Superbike triumph?

Portable oxygen could well play a part in the attempt for glory of a Superbike rider in an upcoming race.

Simon Andrews - who used oxygen equipment to help him recover from a heel injury earlier in the season - is returning to the course where he registered his first British Superbike Championship podium finish, Eurosport reports.

The MSS Colchester Kawasaki competitor will be racing at Cadwell Park - where he had placed third in 2009 - and is hoping to repeat that kind of form this time around.

Andrews noted: "Obviously last year was a good result so we know we go well there and that it's a strong track for us."

He added confidence is high in his team's camp as they know they have the chance for a strong finish at this circuit.

Andrews recently stated his attentions are starting to turn towards next season after his recovery from injury - which was aided by portable oxygen - kept him out for a lot of this year.
