Portable oxygen pack 'transforms youngster's life'

A Peterborough youngster is enjoying all the things other children her age get up to, including throwing snowballs, thanks to a portable oxygen pack.
Cayla Viner, who is nine years old, has a rare lung condition which previously meant she had to be attached to a heavy oxygen cylinder for 22 hours a day, the Peterborough Evening Telegraph reports.
Weighing in at just 500g, the new handbag-sized oxygen pack has given Cayla a new lease of life and means she no longer has to fit activities such as karate and swimming into the few hours each day she was free from the old tank.
"The new pack has made a big difference because it is so much lighter and it is easier for me," she told the news provider.
Cayla, who was born with multiple pulmonary arteriovenous malformations, is now able to join in with her friends and family more thanks to the £3,000 oxygen pack.
