Portable oxygen can provide 'dramatic' results for poor sleepers

People who are having trouble gaining adequate amounts of sleep at night may wish to buy oxygen in an attempt to relieve the problem.

Writing for the Great Falls Tribune, Dan Gold noted oxygen equipment is often used by individuals who suffer from sleep apnoea.

And according to the expert, the result of the treatment is often dramatic.

Mr Gold explained: "Most people enjoy immediate improvement of overall quality of life."

Many users often see their headaches subside while others note they no longer feel as drowsy while at the wheel of a car, he observed.

The specialist claimed some may even see damage to the heart and lungs - caused by sleep apnoea - start to heal and added: "They feel they have more energy and zest for life."

Dr Won Lee of the Sleep and Breathing Disorder Center at the University of Texas recently recommended oxygen therapy can help with numerous ailments, including cardiovascular diseases.
