Portable oxygen 'can improve sleeping practices'

People wishing to improve their sleeping practices may want to buy oxygen to enable them to get longer, uninterrupted amounts of shut-eye.

Dr Robert Rosenberg - a board-certified sleep medicine specialist - stated many individuals have claimed portable oxygen can provide advantages in regards to snoozing time, the AZ Daily Sun reports.

The medical expert said: "Over the years, many of my patients with conditions that cause low oxygen levels during sleep have noted a similar benefit."

Dr Rosenberg explained disruptions during sleep are often because individuals experience reductions in their oxygen levels.

He suggested utilising portable oxygen can help combat these arousals and enable people to sleep better and therefore feel more rested the following day.

Long-distance drivers may also want to consider purchasing oxygen equipment to help them stay alert at the wheel, after a Direct Line Insurance study revealed 74 per cent of motorists have taken to the road while still sleepy.
