Pat Baldwin new portable oxygen user?

Football player Pat Baldwin has signed with Southend United - a team known to use portable oxygen to stay energised - which could mean the sportsman will be trying the product himself.

The defender has been part of Colchester United since 2002 but has already joined Southend United once before in a temporary loan a few years ago.

He has now been taken on in a permanent deal until the end of the season and will be available to hit the pitch in the side's game against Swindon Town tomorrow (January 31st).

The 29-year-old told Southend United's official news provider Blues Player: "As soon as it was a possibility to come to Southend it felt completely right and I am ready to get cracking."

Having spent some time at the top of npower's League Two, the team have recently fallen back to second place and Cheltenham have moved up to number one.
