Oxygen user Simon Andrews 'recovering well' from injury

Simon Andrews, a professional superbike rider who uses portable oxygen to keep him energised, is recovery well from an accident.

This is according to the Tewskesbury Admag, which noted the athlete cannot wait to return to the sport.

"Within ten months I'll be back on the bike pre-season testing," the 27-year-old told the news provider.

Indeed, it seems professionals supporting the eager rider agree he is making a good recovery.

"Simon is progressing well and the bodyweight at which he trains is steadily increasing," manager at Phoenix Fitness Solutions Jason Harvey stated.

Andrews smashed his leg during a race at Snetterton last June and the newspaper noted he also suffered from blood clots in his lungs.

The sport star has not been put off by his injury, though, as he seemed to be excited about the prospect of being back in health and able to race once more.

On his website, the Worcester-born rider admits he does not have a road bike license, so drives a car rather than a two-wheeler when he is not on the track.
