Oxygen therapy 'reduces skin inflammation'

There are numerous benefits to embracing pure oxygen, including reducing skin inflammation following cosmetic procedures and helping to minimise the damage caused by acne.

Dr Neil Sadick, a New York dermatologist, told Elle Canada that he uses oxygen therapy on people who have undergone surgery to improve their appearance, as it supplements the work they have had done.

"It reduces inflammation," he told the magazine.

As well as breathing oxygen-enriched air, ladies can boost their complexions through a number of oxygen facials, which can leave one's skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated, according to Ontario-based dermatologist Dr Peter Vignjevic.

"They're a temporary fix and can make people feel good," he told the news provider.

Pop star Madonna is a firm believer in the benefits of oxygen therapy, according to ShowbizSpy.

The website claims that the 51-year-old has regular oxygen facials to battle the ageing process and maintain her youthful appearance.
