Oxygen therapy 'makes breathing easier for COPD patients'

Breathing oxygen-enriched air is proving to be useful in terms of treating those suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), one patient has advised.
Helene Horowitz has suffered from the debilitating condition for 12 years and has experienced an ever-worsening shortness of breath.
However, she states that using portable oxygen canisters to administer oxygen-enriched air makes breathing a much easier process.
Ms Horowitz says that she ignored the symptoms of COPD for some time but advises those who think they may be suffering from the condition to get themselves diagnosed as soon as possible so oxygen treatment can begin.
The Mesquite Local News recently reported that portable oxygen canisters can give people with COPD the freedom to travel, shop and go about their daily lives as normal.
According to the publication, administering oxygen-enriched air can also help those suffering from the condition to enjoy an undisturbed night's sleep, as their breathing will not be disrupted.
