Oxygen therapy 'like being on an aeroplane'

People who undergo oxygen therapy might find the experience is similar to that experienced when flying in an aeroplane, one user's comments have suggested.

Andy Delgado, a patient looking to soothe the ills of diabetes, has been using oxygen therapy in his battle against the disorder, KTSM News Channel 9 reports.

The diabetic likened the soothing procedure to that of being up in the air, as it also causes people's ears to pop.

Of his treatment, Mr Delgado remarked: "You can tell the difference, the way its healing."

"I feel grateful and hopeful," the oxygen equipment-user added.

Mr Delgado has been receiving the care at Las Palmas Medical Center, which has already welcomed 240 users to its hyperbaric facility this year alone.

Oxygen equipment recently played a role in the recovery of motorbike racer Conor Cummins, who suffered a back fracture, broke his arm and nearly died following a high-speed crash, the BBC reported.
