Oxygen therapy 'is perfectly safe'

People who buy oxygen for detoxification purposes are perfectly safe in doing so, one specialist has observed.

Answering the query of one user of oxygen therapy on planetthrive.com, Dr William Rea told the patient there is nothing to worry about when undergoing the treatment.

The medical expert reassured: "No, it's not dangerous and you will not give yourself emphysema."

Patients are advised to use portable oxygen for two hours a day - at four to eight litres a minute - for best results, Dr Rea explained.

He noted this is more effective than utilising oxygen equipment for 60 minutes every 24 hours.

The doctor added it is also safe if individuals decide to use an oxygen tank to add the substance to their bath water and there is no safe protocol to follow when doing so.

It was recently reported a pair of oxygen chambers are two of the key features of the Advanced Wound Center at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.
