Oxygen therapy helped soldier recover from shrapnel blast

One ex-soldier said that oxygen therapy has helped to cure him of the psychological trauma caused by his time on duty.

Rusty Ouart visited a facility in the US after he spent eight months in a medical facility suffering from trauma and stress following being hit with shrapnel in Baghdad, reported the Grand Forks Herald.

The soldier was told that his symptoms were caused by psychological problems, but he refused to believe it, leading him to try oxygen therapy.

After his initial round of treatment, he experienced fewer spells of vertigo, fewer headaches and smoother speech.

People now think that oxygen therapy should be researched for recovering soldiers, helping them to cope with the physical and mental stress, the source reported.

Neil Shah, director of the Stress Management Society, recently told the Sun that oxygen therapy can help to bust stress, as people get in the habit of so-called baby breaths and not taking in enough air.ADNFCR-2960-ID-19624507-ADNFCR Bookmark and Share Subscribe to the News RSS feed
