Oxygen therapy 'has numerous benefits'

Those who suffer from headaches, shortness of breath and regular bouts of nausea could all benefit from breathing oxygen from a can, an expert has said.

Chuck Jaymes, an indoor air quality professional who regularly reviews oxygen tanks and cylinders for OscarAir, a firm which sells pollution control equipment, claims that these are just some of the people who can be helped by oxygen therapy.

As well as the aforementioned benefits, breathing oxygen-enriched air increases one's mental clarity and allows athletes to train and perform harder and faster.

He added: "Oxygen therapy reduces sleep disruption caused by inadequate oxygen, increasing energy levels and giving you an overall feeling of well being."

Oxygen therapy also helps the body's major organs to function and reduces the strain on the heart which can lead to heart failure, Mr Jaymes stated.

Kate, writing on the blog Coffee Break With Liz and Kate, took her husband, daughter and her daughter's boyfriend to the Solace oxygen bar in Las Vegas recently and said that her husband noticed the positive effects of breathing oxygen-enriched air almost instantly.
