Oxygen therapy delivery 'can slow the ageing process'

Making use of oxygen therapy equipment could well slow the ageing process, an idea one US-based medical professional will attest to.

Doctor Mark Rosenberg - who runs the Institute for Healthy Aging in Delray Beach, Florida - said he makes sure he uses a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber three times each week for an hour at a time, WPBF reports.

"If we can keep that nice, youthful amount of oxygen that we used to get, it will be helpful in slowing the ageing process," he remarked.

Such a practice seems to have worked wonders on the good doctor himself, with the news source noting that, although he is 50, Dr Rosenberg looks as if he is in his 30s.

Other benefits of portable oxygen include recovery from illness, with Times Live recently reporting that boxing champion Jacob 'Baby Jake' Matlala has been using the apparatus for precisely this reason.
