Oxygen therapy 'cures hangovers'

Those who suffer from bad hangovers the morning after consuming high volumes of alcohol may be wise to breathe oxygen-enriched air, after one blogger has noted its benefits.

Lynne Gordon, writing for Alex Ram, states that oxygen treatment has helped to soothe the aches and pains associated with alcohol consumption.

After going out for an evening and drinking five martinis and six shots of vodka, she says: "I awoke the next morning without any signs of a hangover. My mind was clear and my body felt absolutely wonderful."

Ms Gordon adds that breathing oxygen-enriched air has not only helped her in terms of reducing hangovers. She explains the process has also given her much more energy and made her mind sharper.

"My thinking is clear and uncluttered," she states.

Dr Tahin Sahini, senior consultant at the Apollo Indraprastha Hospital in New Delhi, recently told Med India that using oxygen therapy to treat a variety of ailments is based on sound physiological principles.
