Oxygen therapy 'can treat shingles'

One of the many medical complaints which oxygen therapy can help to treat is shingles, according to one source.
Dr Holly Zapf said that the painful rash of blisters which characterises shingles is generally uncomfortable and can be very difficult to treat, but she stated that oxygen therapy can go some way towards helping the condition.
According to the specialist, oxygen-enriched air combined with aloe vera gel is the perfect solution to shingles and something of a secret, as it is not currently widely used.
"Oxygen therapy is endorsed by almost all European doctors. They have found out that it [is effective against] microbes, harmful bacteria, and viruses such as shingles," Dr Zapf said.
Recently, Aahgh.com said that people with a variety of ailments can greatly benefit from oxygen therapy, as it helps to soothe chest tightness, while people with heart disease can also see positive results after a session of treatment.
