Oxygen therapy 'beats hangovers and boosts concentration'

There are many benefits to breathing oxygen-enriched air, which include eliminating headaches and helping people overcome the aches and pains of hangovers, an expert claims.

Stephen Katowitz, who runs a company which supplies pure oxygen to bars in the US, told ninemsnhealth.com that the product boosts health and general wellbeing, which is why it is becoming increasingly popular.

He told the website's reporter, Leila McKinnon, that there are many positives to embracing oxygen in a can.

"Benefits are increased concentration, a stronger immune system, your metabolism will increase, it eliminates headaches [and] it eliminates hangovers," Mr Katowitz said.

Ms McKinnon visited an oxygen bar in the Fort Lauderdale area and found that many people using it reported feeling more energetic after a short session.

Gary Heyne, a master brewer, recently responded to an article on pointsincase.com arguing which hangover cures are the best and said that pure oxygen is the way forward.
