Oxygen therapy 'an exciting treatment'

Treating disorders with portable oxygen is an exciting proposition, it has been suggested.

A new oxygen therapy room is the feature people involved in the progress of the Wound Care Institute in the US are all talking about, according to LehighAcresCitizen.com.

"The piece of equipment the staff [are] most excited about having is the hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber," the source noted.

Wil Kilmer, a board-certified hyperbaric technologist, claimed the procedure is very comfortable for participants.

The expert observed patients can even bring in their own DVDs to watch or select one from an on-site library while utilising the oxygen equipment.

According to the website, the chamber provides treatment in a pressurised environment that increases the tissue oxygen levels to between ten and 13 their normal amount.

Breathing specialist Michael Grant White recently described intake of the correct amount of oxygen as a vital process and one that can help relieve stress and even prevent panic attacks.
