Oxygen therapy 'aids young boy with rare condition'

The use of an oxygen mask has helped energise a young child, it has been reported.
Adam Bancroft suffers from a rare chromosome disorder called Idic 15 and he only one of seven kids worldwide who have been diagnosed with it, the South Wales Echo reports.
Because of this he suffers from a range of multiple complex disabilities, including epilepsy, autism and severe learning difficulties.
But the use of oxygen therapy has helped the youngster improve his quality of life.
"We learn an exercise to increase the blood flow around Adam's diaphragm, thus encouraging the oxygenation of the underdeveloped muscles that support it," his mother said.
She added it is "a miracle" the improvement he has been able to make since the treatment.
The NFL is also embracing oxygen tanks, with many of the top stars using the substance to enhance their game, Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post noted.
