Oxygen news: 'Think ahead' before trying to lose weight

People who are using portable oxygen to keep them energised while they try to fulfil their new year resolution to lose weight have been told to think ahead.

Writing in the Sun, nutritionist Amanda Ursell warned individuals they need to think about what kind of slimming regime will suit them.

Some questions people need to ask themselves include whether they prefer to lose weight alone or with others as well as what kind of diet they want to take on by questioning what kind of foods they prefer eating, she said.

It is also important that individuals are able to accept the fact they are leaving behind an old way of life forever.

"If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got," the specialist quoted life coach Pete Cohen as saying.

This means people need to leave their old diets behind and get used to healthy eating, as going back to old habits will ensure they put weight back on after shedding pounds.

It may be best for people to look out for regimes they will enjoy, as chief executive of CKO Kickboxing in the US Joseph Andreula recently warned individuals it is not sustainable to force themselves to do exercise they dread.
