Oxygen masks save animals from fire

It seems oxygen masks can be beneficial for animals as well as humans as it has emerged the objects have been used to save the lives of pets.
Reporting for Chicago Breaking News, Serena Maria Daniels revealed how firefighters in the US city were able to help a number of pets stay conscious after they were caught up in a house fire.
Larry Langford, a spokesman for the region's fire department, said the servicemen were called to a home that was ablaze with two dogs and two cats still inside.
The animals were gathered from the property and oxygen masks were placed around their heads, causing the four to soon regain consciousness.
Mr Langford noted the pets were a little groggy at first but are now expected to make full recoveries.
The Medical Center blog recently stated oxygen therapy can be an effective treatment to help premature babies avoid spending the first few weeks of life on a ventilator.
