Oxygen facials 'undo the effects of a hedonistic lifestyle'

Opting for an oxygen facial may be recommended for those who lead a hedonistic lifestyle, as it has been suggested that the treatment can undo the effects of skin damage.

Writing for Go Girlfriend, Julia Rosien says: "I enjoyed the triple oxygen facial, which did a good job of undoing some of the damaging behaviour I'd been indulging in on my trip."

Ms Rosien underwent the facial while staying in the W Hotel in San Francisco and states the spa treatments offered by the on-site beauty salon show that it understands what female travellers need.

An LA cosmetic therapist recently told the Telegraph that the facials - which involve oxygen and antioxidants being pumped into the skin - are becoming a pre-requisite for many Hollywood stars before they hit the red carpet for a big event.

She added that the treatment is popular with a whole host of celebrities, ranging from Jane Fonda to Paris Hilton and even politician Sarah Palin.
