Oxygen equipment to prevent golf injuries?

Golfers might want to consider using oxygen equipment to help prevent them suffering injuries when on the course.

According to Dr Jeff Heaton, the sportsmen commonly hurt their lower back and elbow when swinging for long periods of time, the Albert Lea Tribune reports.

To avoid this, the medical expert suggested players need to get their blood pumping so their muscles have greater access to oxygen and are less likely to tighten up.

Dr Heaton explained there are two categories that most physical golfing mishaps fall into.

These include acute injuries - which may have occurred earlier in the round while creating a divot or stepping in a gopher hole - and chronic injury, which relate to disorders forged over time and include muscle, tendon and ligament fatigue.

It was recently reported the wife of Tiger Woods wants to gain the oxygen therapy room that the star had built in his £54 million mansion as part of any divorce settlement.
