Oxygen equipment to help runners sprint further?

Oxygen equipment could be a method athletes want to consider when trying to run that little bit further.

Bettor.com contributor Morgan Freeman noted it is a lack of oxygen that causes sprinters to reduce their speed during races.

The expert observed: "All human beings have the ability to sprint for nearly 300 metres before oxygen shortage slows them down."

Mr Freeman's comments indicate oxygen bottles may be of benefit to those wishing to keep up their momentum.

The expert stated activity can be enjoyed by people of all ages and even children like to sprint when competing in their playground games.

It can be performed to improve physical fitness, while some adults like to sprint for personal fulfilment, he added.

British Superbike competitor Simon Andrews recently revealed bottled oxygen played a very significant part in his recovery from injury after he broke his heel and metatarsal bones during a race.
