Oxygen equipment to aid Cheryl Cole's recovery?

Cheryl Cole might use oxygen equipment to help her return to full health, it has been suggested.

A doctor has predicted the celebrity has fluid on her lungs and may require oxygen equipment as she tries to recover from malaria, the Daily Mail reports.

Dr Martin Wiselka, a consultant of infectious diseases at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, made his comments after it emerged the X Factor judge had been transferred to a private hospital earlier in the week.

"To deal with the fluids she might be given oxygen because the fluid stops oxygen getting into the bloodstream so you need help," Dr Wiselka explained.

It is believed Cole picked up the potentially fatal tropical disease when travelling in Tanzania.

The singer has recently split from England footballer Ashley Cole, whose team-mate Gareth Barry was able to perform at the Fifa World Cup after recovering from injury using an oxygen tent.
