Oxygen equipment helps rider overcome crash injury

Oxygen equipment is playing a significant role in the recovery of a motorbike racer who nearly died following a high-speed crash.
Conor Cummins, 24, said he is determined to return to competitive action and has been using oxygen equipment to speed up the process, the BBC reports.
The rider was involved in a collision during the Isle of Man TT last year, which saw him treated for a back fracture, a broken arm, ligament damage, shoulder injuries and a bruised lung.
On his determination to get back in the racing seat, Cummins said: "If it means blood, sweat and tears I don't mind. It's got to be done hasn't it?"
The racer has received treatment in a hyperbaric chamber, which is an oxygen therapy facility based on the Isle of Man.
Superbike competitor Simon Andrews recently accredited his comeback to the circuit following injury to his utilisation of oxygen equipment.
