Oxygen equipment 'helped Ian Rush as a child'

Oxygen equipment has played a part in the successful career of a Liverpool football legend, it has been suggested.
Ian Rush suffered from meningitis as a child and an oxygen tent helped in his full recovery and prevented any long-lasting effects, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
The former striker's condition came under the spotlight as he commented on a number of students who staged the world's longest football match in memory of former Leeds University scholar Jamie Burdett - who died of meningitis three years ago.
Rush said: "What the two teams have done is a fantastic achievement for English football and also the Meningitis Trust."
The sides - the Leeds Badgers and the Warwick Wolves - competed for 57 hours, which was the equivalent of playing 38 games back-to-back.
It was recently revealed Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge has been using oxygen equipment in a bid to recover from an injury he picked up prior to the start of the new season.
