Oxygen bars 'popular in Turkey'

Oxygen bars are becoming increasingly popular with Turkish businessmen, it has been claimed.

According to the Hurriyet Daily News, the pastime can help give people healthier skin, as well as energise them.

Onur Kozluca believes the establishments, which are already popular across much of Europe and the US, can appeal to people.

"Breathing 90 per cent to 95 per cent oxygen for 15 minutes each day provides a correct alimentation of all the organs in the body," Kozluca told the Ekonomist weekly business magazine.

He added people from shopping and fitness centres are particularly interested by what is on offer as they look to keep healthy.

If individuals do try it out and find they do like it, then they may opt to use portable oxygen tanks in the future.

Tawny Wolf recently claimed on a Sidelines blog that horse riders can use oxygen therapy to rejuvenate themselves after a hard day's work in the saddle.
