Oxygen bar concept 'spreading across the globe'

Oxygen bars have been gaining in prominence around the world as people seek to rejuvenate themselves after spending time in polluted metro cities, it has been suggested.

DNA India noted the concept began in Japan in the early 1990s but is now spreading to different corners of the globe, including Europe and the US.

It observed the idea's exposure has been given a lift thanks to celebrity endorsements from the likes of Woody Harrelson, Jeff Goldblum and Kristie Alley.

Most of these locations are situated in upmarket areas and visitors go to them to reduce fatigue and conquer stress and depression, the news provider explained.

It added they are becoming increasingly common sites in health clubs, salons, restaurants, coffee bars and airports.

Oxygenpartybar.co.uk has reported oxygen bars are favoured by famous faces including Mick Jagger and Madonna and are becoming a staple part of music festivals such as Glastonbury and Creamfields.
