Netball team administered with oxygen therapy

Breathing oxygen-enriched air helped members of an under-16s netball team who got stuck in a lift in Manchester for three hours.
The girls, from St Austell in Cornwall, had been staying at the Macdonald Hotel in the city centre after competing in a nearby tournament.
However, when eight of the team got into the lift to head to the hotel's spa for an ice bath, they got trapped in between floors.
An engineer was immediately notified but as he was an hour away on the motorway, Manchester Central Fire Brigade were called to the rescue, explains team coach Jean Davis.
"The lift was not a big space and it was getting very hot in there," she says.
After two-and-a-half hours, the engineer finally arrived and helped the girls to safety.
"They were tired, hungry and dehydrated. One of the girls was given oxygen because she felt very faint," Ms Davis states.
The Nitrogen Blog advises that carrying portable oxygen canisters can make life much easier for people suffering from a variety of ailments, as well as those who do a lot of running.
