I feel great, says oxygen treatment patient

A patient who recently underwent oxygen treatment has been extolling the virtues of the therapy, according to reports.
"I feel great," 72-year-old James Hendricks, who suffers from diabetes, told The Daily Item.
Mr Hendricks was administered with oxygen-enriched air in the hope of speeding up the healing process after his condition meant he had to have four of his toes amputated.
Donna Ross, programme director at the Evangelical Community Hospital, where Mr Hendricks underwent the treatment, explained the process.
"It helps stimulate blood flow, helps promote the growth of new capillaries and helps a problem wound break the cycle of the wound not healing," she said.
Lisa Tager, programme director for the Southcoast Centre for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, recently told South Coast Today that breathing oxygen-enriched air will superoxygenate the body's cells and in turn, help wounds to heal faster.
