Headaches 'can be tempered' with oxygen equipment

Individuals who suffer from crippling headaches may want to turn their attentions to oxygen therapy.
According to eHow contributing writer Michelle Nesbit, one reason people experience migraines is because they take in a carbon dioxide build-up when in an enclosed room.
The expert noted: "A little bit of oxygen therapy is extremely beneficial for relief from headache and an increased clarity of the thought processes."
As well as generating migraines, being in such an atmosphere can also make a person feel nauseous, Ms Nesbit observed.
However, she explained this feeling could also be overcome with the use of oxygen equipment.
Moreover, the treatment can be employed to aid those with respiratory problems such as shortness of breath, the specialist added.
Researchers from the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney recently carried out reviews of hypobaric and normobaric oxygen treatment and found the method could be a safe and effective option for those who experience cluster headaches.
