England players to use oxygen to counter smoking effects?

The England football set-up might want to buy oxygen in an attempt to counter the effects smoking may be having on some of the team's players.
Writing in the Daily Mail, Mark Leather - a senior lecturer in sports therapy at Edge Hill University - suggested the national side's disappointing performance at the World Cup may have been down to smoking addictions.
The specialist said it is "baffling" to see top sportsmen like Wayne Rooney using cigarettes.
And it appears the team's lacklustre displays at the tournament may have been due to oxygen circulation difficulties.
"If you smoked regularly, your airways become blocked, it is tougher for oxygen to get round your body to your muscles and you can have respiratory problems," he explained.
England crashed out of this summer's global tournament in South Africa at the last-16 stage, after suffering a 4-1 defeat to arch-rivals Germany, following a second place finish in the group stage.
