Breathing pure oxygen 'increases survival rates in COPD patients'

People who suffer with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) should embrace pure oxygen, a writer has claime3d, as it can help increase survival rates.
Lori Palermo, writing on Everyday Health, said that there are several plus points associated with oxygen therapy, including reducing shortness of breath.
She pointed out that there are a number of different ways to enjoy pure oxygen, with each system having their own benefits.
Oxygen in a can is one of her recommendations, with Ms Palermo stating that they are useful for those who do not need pure oxygen all the time, such as when walking or participating in other physical activity.
Other apparatus COPD sufferers should explore include oxygen concentrators, which are around the same size as a suitcase.
She advised patients to keep the concentrator in an open area.
"Never place it in a closet or other closed space," she added.
New York Daily News blogger Karen Barrow recently said that while many people may find the idea of carrying an oxygen canister around with them unappealing, they can bring huge benefits and make them feel better.
