Boost oxygen levels to overcome inactivity

Making use of nearby green spaces is a great way to raise oxygen levels and overcome a sedentary lifestyle.
That is becoming increasingly important in light of new research from Brazil that showed the UK has one of the highest inactivity rates in the world.
Some 63.3 per cent of Britons fail to meet guidelines on regular exercise, according to analysis of data from the World Health Organisation.
The study, which was published today (July 18th) in The Lancet, showed the number of US citizens failing to complete minimum exercise regime was 40.5 per cent, while the French fared particularly well at just 32.5 per cent.
Taking into account data from 89 per cent of the earth's total population, researchers found that physical inactivity in Europe was highest in Malta (71.9 per cent) and Serbia (68.3 per cent), with the UK coming in third.
Separate research published by The Lancet stressed the link between low-activity levels and the risk of coronary heart disease, type-2 diabetes and breast and colon cancer.
