Instructions for use of 110 litre and 66 litre steel bottles

Instructions for use of 110 litre or 66 litre steel bottle with regulating valve and oxygen mask.

1. Remove the white plastic cap from the thread of the steel bottle. Please note that the word Argon on the bottle refers to the manufacturer of the bottle and has nothing to do with the content, which is 99.5% pure oxygen.

2. Screw regulating valve fully on to the steel bottle until you hear the oxygen escaping.
Turning back in anti clock direction will close the valve.

3. Connect the oxygen mask to the piping and the piping in turn to the valve. It is a push on fit.

4. Careful rotation of the valve again in the clock wise direction will open the valve and the amount of oxygen escaping can be regulated. When not in use, it is recommended that the valve is unscrewed completely in order to prevent accidental escaping of oxygen.

5. The maximum amount that the valve allows is a flow of 4 litres per minute. Since the pure oxygen is mixing with the ambient air in the mask, only oxygen enriched air is ever breathed.

6. At a maximum rate of 4 litres per minute the content of the bottle will last approximately 27 minutes for the 110 litre bottle, or 16 minutes with the 66 litre bottle.

7. By opening the valve only slightly the content will last longer.

8. When the bottle is totally empty it can be disposed off in the recycle waste.
